Why am I doing this site?
I love, love, love to network and meet new people. So much so, I have a site devoted to it.
As a business person today the learning curve is huge. All of the online work to be done, as well as the local work to do face to face. You have so much to learn online and locally to even to just start a business. There is a real need for information especially in a mom friendly style and presentation. Moms who may have had a different career, before children are now trying their hands at new business start ups and direct selling. Many are working from home, this maybe first time they have ever had a business to run. So much has to be learned on all the different topics which apply to having a business today. I enjoy learning and sharing right along with other WAHMs, because it all changes fast online. Trends are constantly changing and new ones are developing.
Why is there a need for a site? How did I start doing this site?
We’ll it so happens, I just feel into this by accident, kind of. What happened was I started speaking with other business people on starting an e-commerce business of my own. I had my eyes on at the time on a shopping cart, e-commerce site. I started asking other business people, if they thought the site would fly or burn. I asked for their opinion, to get a feel, if it was a good investment for me.
In doing so I learned a simple fact – you can’t know everything about everything! I learned real fast, some of the most successful people I knew, were asking me questions! WOW me! Then it dawned on me, to actually do a site like this one more of a resource site. I had been doing it right along for others anyway.
I realized a site just on business would be my best forum for helping others. I had been staying up late at night, explaining all of this to help others who needed help in certain areas (helping those who already owned businesses)
Once I opened up the conversation on topics I had a real love for, I realized in my research to develop my own little business. I had learned a whole lot. I realized with my experience in different careers over the years, I had developed a good knowledge base. I know can share my love of businesses, computers and marketing, all in one spot.
